The other good news is that they apparently have had such a good December that they are currently very low on stock and I had to leave empty-handed. Keep up the good work. It is a serious blow to the character of Hermyn Street (and London) that places like my dear Bates. Indeed, earlier in 2009 another institution, just up the Piccadilly Arcade from Bates, closed up (due to the credit crisis unfortunately) after 150 years, Maitland & Co.
